It’s only the first of a long series
On October 21, IBF took at part the first of the 46 Explore and Expand workshops.
The workshop took place at Marker Hotel, Dublin, in the frame of the Bioeconomy Ireland Week, in front of an overall audience made up by 20 people, including 7 companies/spin-offs 2 investors.
The workshop was a Dragon’s Den like pitching event. The pitches were organised in 3 pitch rounds of 2 to 3 company pitches. The pitches lasted 6 minute each, following by a 3-minute Q&A.
After each pitch rounds, the investors gave feedback to the pitchers on their performance.
During the event, the investors delivered feedback after each pitching rounds (of 2 to 3 pitches), as planned, which all the participating companies found beneficial and were able to gain valuable insights on the way to deliver pitches and to present a business case to investors.
Finally, this occasion has also the occasion to refine the workshops’ format for the future workshops that will be organised by the Ambassadors to experiment first-hand what the BioeconomyVentures Ambassadors are likely to face when implementing their own events, and refine the process.
