The Ambassadors Programme is at the core of BioeconomyVentures project. The project has started on May 1st, 2021 receiving funding from the Bio Based Industries Joint Undertaking (JU) under GA No 101023260. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the Bio Based Industries Consortium.
The project aims to bridge gaps in the bio-based sector between innovators, investors and clusters by nurturing and constantly enlarging a network in the bio-industry. This network will constitute the basis for the construction of a vibrant ecosystem that will last also after the project’s end.
The Ambassadors Programme is an essential mean to build this network. Ambassadors are selected among intermediaries and cluster associations. The goal is to recruit 20 Ambassadors that will:
- Contribute to map the bio-based industry ecosystem;
- Enlarge the BioeconomyVentures network by identifying and connecting stakeholders;
- Promote the activities of the project and act as contact point;
- Organize at least two regional ‘Explore & Expand’ workshops, ideally between November 2021 and June 2023.
Furthermore, they will acquire new knowledge, European exposure and expansion of their own networks.
Thanks to the implementation of the Ambassadors Programme, BioeconomyVentures’ impact will reach also remote regions and local communities.
